Insurance Questions

Does my insurance cover counseling?

This is a great question and the best way to be sure that your counseling is covered is to call the customer service number listed on the back of your insurance card. Sometimes insurance companies use various different terms for counseling. The name for your counseling benefit may be referred to as "mental health" or "behavioral health" coverage. Calling before your first visit will help you to know what your financial commitment will be.

What is a deductable?

A deductable is the amount of money that your insurance company expects you to pay for any medical and behavioral health care before they begin to cover your treatment. For example, if your deductable is $1,000.00, your insurance company will expect you to pay for all services until this amount is reached. This is another question that your insurance company should be able to answer for you prior to your visit.

Do I have to use insurance?

You may chose to pay for your counseling services without using your insurance benefit. In this case, cash, check, Mastercard and Visa is acceptable.
